Ziggy Stardust

The iconic image of 'Ziggy Stardust' (David Bowie) . I know everyone seems to draw this but it was a special request from my Dad for his Birthday! I drew this December, 2020 using my 'goto' favourites PrismaColor pencils

Ziggy Stardust was the fictional character/alter ego that David Bowie created in the early 70's. For many it is associated with the very successful concept album 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' (1972) and continued in the follow up album 'Aladdin Sane' (1973). The famous Aladdin Sane cover 'depicted' shows the lightning bolt across his face and to many this is one of the most instantly recognisable album covers of all time! Ziggy Stardust was officially 'retired' during a live concert at London’s Hammersmith Odeon (3rd July 1973).
